With zero emissions and minimal noise pollution, this electric motorcycle for children offers an excellent READY TO RACE alternative to gasoline models in the 50cc class. It has high quality components and is very competitive. The state-of-the-art battery-powered air-cooled electric motor is particularly compact and has a slim design to suit the small chassis of the KTM SX-E 5. The motor is also water and dust resistant with zero wear and maintenance. The integrated ECU control unit provides direct but controllable power delivery.
The frame is made of light and high strength steel profiles. The subframe is made of plastic elements reinforced with glass fiber and allows two positions, depending on the height of the seat and the waist of the small rider.
Just like the bigger models in the KTM range, the KTM SX-E 5 model comes equipped with black, anodized, lightweight aluminum rims that offer increased durability and resistance. Added to these are the new MAXXIS MX-ST tires for unparalleled traction on any surface.
The KTM SX-E 5 benefits from the fully adjustable WP XACT inverted fork with a travel length of 205 mm. It delivers increased comfort, damping characteristics and directional stability.
The WP XACT monoshock rear suspension is directly linked to the newly cast swingarm and provides excellent damping performance. It is fully adjustable, depending on the driving conditions on the circuit. The shock absorber allows a rear travel length of 185 mm.
The front and rear hydraulic brakes in combination with the light wavy discs are easy to control even by young riders, helping them to approach any situation with confidence.
The aluminum NEKEN handlebar ensures stability and safety.
The height of the seat can be adjusted. The standard model has a height of 665 mm, which can be easily reduced to 615 mm in two steps, lowering the body and saddle and raising the rear shock absorber in the alternative position. The front fork can also be lowered into the triple clamp. Additionally, using the dedicated suspension lowering kit from the KTM parts catalog, the saddle can be lowered to a minimum height of only 560mm to accommodate a young rider aged 4 or even younger.
The orange and blue color scheme, along with the orange frame and saddle and the sharp racing-inspired bodywork add an attractive factory look
The multifunctional display is located between the handlebar and seat. It allows the selection of six different piloting modes. Each mode offers different power characteristics. The instrumentation also shows the battery charge. The lithium-ion battery can last up to two hours for a beginner rider and 25 minutes in the case of a race, depending on conditions and terrain. The integrated BMS battery management system ensures the safety and longevity of the battery pack.
The KTM SX-E 5 has a sensor that stops the power in the event of a crash.
